Who is on the Padel NEXT men's competition team?
Captain Thomas has been competing for a while and came up with the idea to start a Padel NEXT team. He reached out to all of us to join.

How long have you been playing together?
The competition started last September, and we began training in August. So it’s been almost a year now.
What makes your team unique?
We have different ages and nationalities on the team. We’re quite diverse, but our shared passion for padel always allows us to create magic together!
How do you prepare for a match?
In the days leading up to it, we often train together as a team. Personally (José), I pay attention to my diet the night before and on match day itself, since we usually play two matches in a row. And of course: going to bed on time and no parties the night before 😬.
What was your most memorable match so far?
José and Thomas when we played away. We played a very defensive match that required a lot of individual and team focus. Due to time constraints, the match was decided in a super tiebreak. We started down 0-6 and eventually won 10-6 – an amazing comeback!
Who is the team’s unsung hero of the team?
Lennard! He brings calm and wisdom to the team.
Who provides the most jokes or the most fighting spirit?
Thijs brings the jokes, José brings the fighting spirit, Thomas brings top-class padel (and of course, we’ve already mentioned Lennard 😉)
What is your favorite victory drink after a game?
A kebab with lots of cheese!
